Tim Latham M.Sc., C.Eng., M.IChemE, is Managing Director of a biopharmaceutical engineering consultancy based in England. He is a biochemical engineer, having received degrees from the University of London (Imperial and University Colleges). He achieved Chartered Engineer status in 1987 and is a Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). He has been responsible for the Utility Systems module of the M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Engineering course since its inception in 1996.
Mr. Latham has led process design teams both for engineering design companies, and also biopharmaceutical manufacturing companies, primarily for new pilot plant and production facility projects. His particularly areas of interest and expertise are bioreactors, sterilization and clean-in-place, large-scale protein purification and high purity water and steam services.
