Learning Units (Hours)
A. Bhatia, B.E.
Any interruption of the utility power will stop the operation of a computer system and other critical applications causing loss of data, potential hardware damage and inconvenience. While brownouts and spikes can be tackled by using voltage regulators, surge suppressors, a spike buster etc, the problem of blackout is solved by using uninterruptible power supply systems (UPS).
This 4-hour course discusses some basic fundamentals of uninteruptive power systems.
The course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
