This 8-hour course will teach you how to develop practical leadership skills for use with any workforce regardless of educational, professional, or social background. You will learn effective and proven techniques in dealing with employee conflict, counseling employees effectively on work performance issues, a guide to developing an effective work team, problem solving with employees, and persuading and influencing others.
You will receive tools that you can use immediately in the workplace. This course includes a quiz consisting of true false and multiple-choice questions at the end that is designed to help you understand and implement the course materials.
* This course is acceptable to all the state PE boards except the New York State PE & PLS Board.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website.
AIA Members: You must take the courses listed under the category "AIA/CES Registered Courses" if you want us to report your Learning Units (LUs) to AIA/CES. If you take courses not registered with AIA/CES, you need to report the earned Learning Units using Self Report Form provided by AIA/CES.
